Death At Home

Call us straight away. You will be informed by the hospital of the death of your relative or friend.

• If the police or ambulance need to be called, we will do this for you. We will arrange calling the police and/or ambulance as necessary.

• If an autopsy is required we will ensure transportation to Rethymnon and back again for this to take place.

Death in a Care Home

You will be informed by the care home of the death of your relative or friend.

• Even if the care home is not local we will travel to Rethymnon or Heraklion to bring your relative back.

Death in Hospital

You will be informed by the hospital of the death of your relative or friend.

Papers You Will Need

Have any Greek health insurance papers handy, the AMKA number, Tax number, Residence Permit if there is one and most importantly the passport.
From there we will take care of all paperwork for you including translations for use in the UK.

Organising the Funeral When You Don’t Live in Crete

If you are unable to get here, rest assured we can handle all the arrangements for you.

If you are the closest relative to the deceased you simply email us giving permission for us to arrange the funeral – you don’t have to be here in Crete.
